So you're out of work, laid off, between gigs, unemployed, whatever... But you have those pesky BILLS to contend with. Now might be the time to try and make some extra cash off that hobby of yours.

This article from CareerJournal.com talks about a number of unemployed or underemployed folks who've turned to sideline businesses on their own to make ends meet. And some are doing relatively well!

Whether it's as simple as dogwalking or as involved as being a "virtual assitant," I guess the bottom line is get out there and do something.

Starting this week, I'm going to hit the streets to try and drum up business for a friend of mine who owns his own business. I'll let you know how that goes.
